Kalshi seeks U.S. approval for 60 stock and ETF perpetual contracts

Prediction-market operator Kalshi $KALSHI is pushing to expand its platform with approximately 60 stock and ETF perpetual contracts, seeking to bring one of crypto's biggest trading products into equities markets. The move comes as Wall Street players battle over regulatory jurisdiction for derivatives tied to individual stocks.

Europe's top regulator (ESMA) has separately questioned whether Polymarket and Kalshi's event contracts fall under existing EU binary-options bans or crypto frameworks, flagging authorization gaps. Polymarket has meanwhile named former Amazon finance chief Warren Jenson as its first CFO, signaling the prediction-market sector's growing institutional ambitions.
