UK PMIs beat forecasts as services and manufacturing activity strengthen

United Kingdom flash PMI data surprised to the upside, with composite PMI printing 53.1 versus 51.7 expected, services at 53.1 (forecast 51.8) and manufacturing at 52.8 (forecast 51.8). Manufacturing output hit a 25-month high, underpinning improved economic momentum despite global headwinds.
