A demo mirrors live prices with no financial risk. It is perfect for learning how to place orders, understanding margin, trying an indicator or checking that a strategy behaves as expected.

Its limits are well known: execution is often kinder (less slippage, no requotes) and, above all, there is no emotion. Winning on demo with a virtual €100,000 does not prove you can handle a real €200 loss.

Use it with a virtual balance equal to what you would really deposit, then move to live with a small size as soon as your method is written down and tested.
