Confirmation bias
Confirmation bias pushes you to seek out and remember information that supports your idea, while ignoring what contradicts it.
You are long gold: you mostly read bullish analysis, you spot the support levels and you play down signs of weakness. Your brain filters information to protect your position and your ego.
This bias stops you from cutting a losing position and makes you see signals that aren't there. It is especially strong when you have announced your trade publicly.
To counter it, write down before entering what would invalidate your scenario, and put your stop there. Actively look for the opposite argument. A trading journal that records your reasons for entry lets you check afterwards how often you ignored contrary signals.
