Price channel
A channel is formed by two parallel lines that frame price: a trendline and its parallel. It can be rising, falling or horizontal.
In a rising channel, the trendline connects the lows and the parallel runs through the highs. Price swings between the two. A horizontal channel is a range.
Two strategies: buy near the lower edge and sell near the upper edge, preferably in the direction of the slope; or wait for price to leave the channel, which often signals acceleration or a change of regime.
When price can no longer reach the upper edge of a rising channel, momentum is fading. Adjust the channel if needed, but don't force the drawing to fit at all costs.
