Day trading
Day trading means opening and closing positions within the same day, holding nothing overnight, over a few minutes to a few hours.
A day trader pays no swap and faces no gap risk at the open. They usually work on M5, M15 or H1, with context taken from higher timeframes, and focus on the most active sessions.
It requires real availability during market hours, solid preparation (economic calendar, key levels) and a strict daily loss limit.
Day trading is not inherently more profitable than swing trading. It multiplies decisions, and therefore chances to make mistakes, and costs weigh more heavily than in swing trading. A clear routine, with fixed start and stop times, helps keep decisions consistent.
